This policy describes what personal data the SEOVIP tool (the “app”) processes, for what purpose, for how long it is retained, and what rights you have in connection with it under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The data controller is the operator of the SEOVIP app, built with WEBZENITH. You can find a contact form on synthlucida.com.
a) IP address when checking a website
When you use the app to check a URL, we temporarily store your IP address so we can limit the number of checks from a single address (max. 3 checks per 24 hours — protecting the app against abuse and overload). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the free service operational (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The record overwrites itself once the 24-hour window passes — we don’t retain or otherwise evaluate the IP address beyond that.
b) Data in your browser (localStorage)
For convenience, the app stores directly in your browser (using localStorage, not cookies) a short history of your previous checks and a few small settings (e.g. that you dismissed a notice). This data stays only on your device, the app never sends it anywhere, and we have no access to it. You can delete it at any time using the button in the app, or by clearing the site’s data in your browser settings.
c) Website check result (public report)
If you submit a URL for checking, the app fetches the publicly available HTML code of that page on the server and evaluates technical SEO signals (e.g. title tag length, presence of a meta description, headings, mobile view). We store the result and publish it as a separate, search-engine-indexable page at https://seovip.web.app/report/<domain>. This is technical information about a publicly available web presence, not personal data within the meaning of GDPR — the exception would be if the checked page itself contained personal data directly within the examined technical elements (e.g. a name in the meta description); such data could then briefly appear in the report as a citation of publicly published content. The report stays published until someone has the page checked again (the report is overwritten), until the site’s owner requests its removal (see section 5), or for at most 90 days since the last check — older reports are deleted automatically.
d) Requests to remove a report
If you write to us requesting removal of a report about your website, we process your email address and the content of your message solely for the purpose of handling that request.
The app does not use any cookies, and no advertising or analytics tracking by third parties. The only thing the app stores in your browser is described in point 2b) above.
The app runs on Google Cloud / Firebase infrastructure (provider: Google), with servers in the europe-west3 region. Google acts as a processor in this relationship — a technical infrastructure provider, not a recipient of data for its own purposes. We do not sell or share any data with other third parties for marketing purposes.
In connection with the processing of personal data, you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (see point 2a). If you believe the processing of your data violates GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů) (uoou.cz), or with the supervisory authority in your own EU member state.
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when the app gains a new feature that handles data differently. The current version is always available at this address, and the date of the last update is shown above.
